How did you find out it's fungal?
I've also had a dandruff problem for years, it doesn't seem to go away no matter how often/rarely I shampoo.

I just assumed it is fungal because I've been getting random pimples on my forehead, right cheek region and my shoulders. I have always oiled/shampoo'd my hair, but this shit doesn't go away. Too lazy to visit a dermatologist, but if this persists, I'll have no other choice

comb or brush your hair every morning and before bed
don't wash your hair everyday and don't use shampoo/conditioner everyday
use hair oils daily
give your scalp a deep massage with room temperature to lukewarm hair oil once or twice a week
sounds diet related, cut back on oily foods

dead skin and grime will collect on top of your scalp just through the natural biological cycle of hair and scalp growth. when you properly comb your hair and you press the teeth of the comb against your scalp, you are loosening and moving that layer of dead skin and grime off your head. with all that excess stuff moved out of the way, the natural pores in your scalp are now open and clear, allowing them to secrete out natural hair oils to protect your scalp/hair, and also absorb hair oils or whatever other hair products you use. plus, massaging your scalp with your comb increases blood flow to the scalp. increased blood flow results in a healthier scalp, which results in less flaking and stronger hair follicles, leading to healthier hair.

i had severe dandruff problem and visit dermotologists as well. It never went away.

Then on youtube i found this video about Apple Cider Vinegar.

I applied it on my hair and voila my dandruff was gone for like next 6 months. It came back again in winter. But it was a huge relief. Try it once and see the magic.

have you tried applying lemon? I mean just cut it in half and use it. worked wonders for me. just try a little in the beginning in case it causes burning sensation or not. I didn't observe any such thing but my brother told me he gets a minor burning sensation after using it.
