Post kino historical movies/manga/literature. Pic related is Song of the Long March, only thing written by a foid I've ever enjoyed, even the MC isn't typical le strong foid character but actually nuanced. Wish we had genuine historical fiction, there's some decent Bengali historical short stories but most of them are just romances or dramas set in a historic setting, like Tungabhadhrar Tire.

Yeh but there's too many WW2 movies. Older, lesser known history is more interesting since WW2 has been done to death.

Then what about Vikings or Rome? Granted neither of them are historically accurate.
I have also heard good things about the Romance of Three Kingdoms TV series. Though it's chinkshit so there's that.
There is also Arthdal Chronicles a gook television show. I haven't watched it yet but WOM is positive on this one. Chernobyl is a fantastic docudrama although I am not sure if it would come under "historical" genre

Watched both, Vikings is utter shit after S1 but Rome was good enough, for a pop media piece at the very least. Chinkshit is kind of hard to get into but I'll give Romance of Three Kingdoms a try, I liked the novel a lot.

Death of yazdgerd is one of my favorite historical/Iranian film and it is easily available on YouTube with eng subs. It's a movie about Sassanid empire.

I'm thinking of making a kino on Chetak. But I don't know when and where to start. I'll use POV and long shot
