Mine 5 cm per sec. The whole long distance relationship was good and the ending summarised the plot perfectly. The only problem was the characters were kids. This made me cringe for a while. why do Japanis people do this. Fucking up a good mature plot by including kid characters.
>>11309 true yaar i started watching love lab and stopped when i learned they were 14. even 16 would have been fine. i guess i should stop watching anime for children
>>11309 Unlike pajeets japs and really most of the rest of the world don't have romance/sex life drought and don't furiously deny teenagers don't feel love, attraction, etc... so bear with it.
>>11309 Also it was not a 'distant' relationship. It explores the nature of relationships before modern day soycial media. He wasn't texting to himself, not to any 'distant' gf he had. The girl just moved on, while he still latched on to his onitis even into his 20s.
>>11311 Teenage love is cringe af. U don't have brains enough to comprehend what true lub is. The fucking kids were acting like Shakespeare in middle school. That's why I liked the third part more.
>>11314 Why is teenage love cringe according to you? Is the way they present the characters cringe or how they blush and all when interacting? Third part is imho, even more cringe than both parts. From what perspective are you saying a fag who has not gotten over his decade old onitis and is engaging in maladaptive behaviour less cringe than say the former where teens made life long promises, blushing and shit? You are not supposed to enjoy that part, the motive behind that part was to show the trainwreck of a person he has become, not be enamoured by his behaviour and think its worth glorifying. His whole life then was cringe and him getting over it is supposed to be the relief of it. Let me guess you think Kabir Singh is a masterpiece? Shakespeare thought teenage love was cringe though, Romeo and Juliet was his era's version of you boomer ranting against muh love. Whether you found it cringe or not is irrelevant though, the fact is it is a very important aspect of many people's lives, including the author himself which he didn't got over until after this movie was made. (After on when he just made regular teenage romance dramas).
>>11314 Honestly if your complaint is that teenagers acted so immaturely then I can get it. But you were saying you liked the third part more, where he was acting even more immature for his age than his teenage self did.
>>11309 For me its a tie between Night is young walk on girl and The wind rises Anything made by Yuasa for the art work, wind rises for its characters and writing.
>>11314 Also just to say, 'true lub' is a meme, the truth is you don't really have anymore understanding of what 'tru lub' is than you did in your teens. In your 30s you will be cringing at the 20s fags meaning of tru lub and in your 40s at the 30s fags meaning of it. This is because its a buzzword, with no meaning in it entirely subjective of one's own experience. To a guy living in the 80s, a girl next door whom he has lived with his all life and declaring his intention to love for her always doesn't seems to be cringe but to a guy living in the modern day where life and people moves on so fast, it seems so unrealistic. And that was really what the movie was exploring, it tells the the story of a man stuck in that 'middle generation' where mobile mode of life that came to be the norm of one's life today wasn't yet the normal of his generation. He did believe he will eventually get to meet his onitis later not realizing times have changed, only to be lead his life astray. Only when he realized she has moved on, that he doesn't have to worry about her anymore that he moves on.
>>11315 >Let me guess you think Kabir Singh is a masterpiece? Are you a retard? How did u even come to that conclusion. Teenagers acting like adults in the movie made me cringe. The movie should have started from high school, then college followed by adulthood. Kids thinking like this is the soulmate I have is fucking stupid. >>11316 In third part he definitely acted cringy but adult cringy clinging on the a memory of girl who has moved on in his life. But it was bearable becoz at that age we all are fucking lost in the world of nihilism and depression. And he did finally realize he was a shizo and accepted it. The high school part was cringy becoz the guy was acting like a 30 year old dude who has experienced all the heartbreak in the world.
>>11317 The wind rises is a masterpiece. Amazing visuals. Hated the fact that it got snubbed at Oscars.
>>11319 >teenagers who found his soulmate See >>11318 That story happened int the late 80s iirc. Talk to people from that era and you would know most of them came to marry their 'first love' and didn't date around like today. >high school part In the high school part, nothing was from his perspective. It was from the perspective of the girl who was in love with him and hence its natural that he appeared more 'cool' and 'mature' from her perspective. When we got back to his perspective, we realized he was even more of a wreck than before sending himself messages to cope. And when he got to the third part we get to know how much of a wreck he is.
>>11319 Also he was moving to high school in the movie in the first part iirc. He was not a 'kid' in the first part but in his mid teens already(14-15). I fail to see how moving it to high school would make any difference. Honestly if the girl was just some girl he met in his high school and the rest of the movie was drama regarding that, it would have been even more cringe. The main drama behind the plot was this girl was a girl who was his childhood friend and he has know and loved the primary part of his formative lives and the depression he got into as a result.
>watching shitty chick flicks Absolute state of trannies ITT
>>11320 Absolutely. Loved it. If only they made movies like this now, Wind rises was a true signature, marking the end of a beautiful era. I don't care about Oscars. Only shitty movies get those. By mistake , a good movie may get it, but Oscars are as relevent as Filmfare awards.
>>11323 Lmao fantasy cartoon watchers don't have the right to be judgemental about anyone else's tastes. But I agree I got worked up so much over some fag's opinion.
>>11312 Yes they are, that's why you go to jail for, you know, having sambhog with 14yr olds. Btw no one cares about whatever you're posting half as much as you do.
>>11310 Very true yaar. Why all these fucks are so young, please recommend some anime for older crowd yaar
>>11335 Switch to manga. They are superior to anime in every way maybe except shonan genre(but it's a kids genre) No cringe voice acting. No lengthy episodes like one piss More variety. I would say read berserk if you haven't. Oyasumi punpun is a good one as well.
>>11337 Nobody asked for your 'non conformist' taste in mangays anon, this is a thread about anime movies. There is a mangay thread if you want to inform others about your unique tastes in mangays.
>>11338 What's got up your ass faggot. Anon wanted mature series and I recommended him to go for nahga
